Creating Videos on YouTube
Creating your own lane is a must when you’re building a brand. You don’t have to follow the crowd. Following the crowd can be the wrong direction for you. Now don’t get me wrong, there are so many people doing the same thing but we all do it differently and that’s when people relate to you.
I have been on Youtube since 2012. I really enjoyed the connection I gained with women who enjoy all things beauty just like myself. I started out doing Natural Hair Videos and later got into Makeup.
There was a time I was super consistent on my channel but it got overwhelming for me and I took a step back. Now 7 years later, I still enjoy Youtube and to be honest it’s my happy place.
My one advise it to just be you and find your grove, block out everyone and do you!
Blogging on the Internet
Now blogging is a different beast for me. I have always moved away from blogging because of the writing, so in saying that my blog post will never be 5000 words or more. I like having a space on the internet that is mine and it’s controlled and paid by me.
Blogging is visual to me because of the photos and blog layout. I love to take pictures so I said: “why not just dive into blogging”. I created my blog as an off-spin of my YouTube Channel.
If you aren’t fancy of videos and taking the camera then giving blogging a try. I know when I first started I was clueless, I have learned so much along the way.
My Lane
I have come to realize if you want anything in life you just have to go for it and put in the hard work. Now that I have the time to focus on my brand, I will create my own lane and share the tips I have learned as I go.
Ladies & Gents, this isn’t hard but you have to put in hard work. I’m sure if I didn’t take a step back I would have been further, but I mentioned in a previous post. I am where I need to be.
